Četvrtu godinu zaredom u najstarijem europskom gradu, Vinkovcima, organiziran je spektakularan turnir u 3×3 košarci, a prvi je put poprište bilo samo gradsko središte: vinkovački korzo. Uz obilježja koja sada već tradicionalno krase ova 3×3 nadmetanja u Vinkovcima – bogat programski sadržaj, velik odaziv publike, sjajan ugođaj i odlične oglede kvalitetnih ekipa – dvodnevni je događaj protekloga vikenda (petak i subota, 20. i 21. lipnja) osigurao i dodatne atrakcije i jednu svjetsku premijeru tehnološkoga noviteta.
Najveću grad Vukovarsko-srijemske županije bio je peta postaja četvrte sezone PRO 3×3 Tour 2025. driven by Opel, serije spektakularnih međunarodnih turnira u 3×3 košarci koja će od 16. svibnja do 3. kolovoza 2025. obuhvatiti ukupno 10 atraktivnih lokacija, većinom u središtima gradova, diljem Hrvatske. Prva četiri ovosezonska turnira organizirana su u Hvaru (16. i 17. svibnja), Trogiru (23. i 24. svibnja), Umagu (30. i 31. svibnja) i Donjem Miholjcu (6. i 7. lipnja), a vinkovački turnir stavio je „točku na i“ na prvu polovicu aktualne sezone.
Budući da PRO 3×3 Tour već tradicionalno ima jak međunarodni karakter jer natjecanja u njegovom sklopu kontinuirano okupljaju odlične 3×3 ekipe iz više europskih zemalja, ne treba čuditi što je tek peti turnir donio prvu ovogodišnju pobjedu neke hrvatske momčadi u seniorskoj muškoj Elite Men kategoriji. Pobjedom u uzbudljivom finalu, odigranom u subotu navečer (21. lipnja), tijesnim rezultatom 19:17 nad kvalitetnom ekipom Užice Zlatiborac iz Srbije, slavila je momčad 3×3 Zagreb Nitui za koju su igrali Demian Balaško, Marko Malekinušić, Dean Popović i Zvonimir Stunja. Valja istaknuti da su oni nadvisili sve svoje protivnike na turniru, ostvarivši ukupno pet pobjeda u pet ogleda, što dokazuje kako je ova titula zaslužena. Time je, osim FIBA bodova, Zagreb 3×3 Nitui osvojio i novčanu nagradu od 2.000 eura, dok je drugoplasirana ekipa Užice Zlatiborac dobila nagradni iznos od 600 eura. Treće mjesto pripalo je ekipi KA-BA Križa Mont. Navedene tri momčadi ujedno su osigurale sudjelovanje u velikom finalu PRO 3×3 Tour 2025. driven by Opel koje će biti organizirano 2. i 3. kolovoza 2025. u Novalji na otoku Pagu.
Iz kuta grada-domaćina posebno je zanimljiv bio natjecateljski dio u juniorskoj U-19 kategoriji jer su tamo imali izvrsnu mladu ekipu pod imenom 3×3 Vinkovci koja se na kraju pokazala i kao najbolja. U dva dana četvorka koju su činili Dino Ramljak, Kristian Senčić, Petar Vujeva i Ante Šabić pobijedila je redom sve svoje protivnike i turnir zaključila savršenim skorom od 6:0. U zanimljivom završnom dvoboju u „slavonskom derbiju“ rezultatom 21:13 nadvisili su velike rivale iz momčadi 3×3 Osijek i zaslužili ovacije prepunih tribina.
Osim samih 3×3 nadmetanja valja istaknuti još nekoliko segmenata vinkovačkog događaja. Oba dana organizirane su i brojne zanimljive nagradne igre i natjecanja za gledatelje. Jedan od vrhunaca obje večeri (20. i 21. lipnja) bila je serija nastupa slovenske akrobatske skupine Dunking Devils koji su svojim trikovima i akrobatskim zakucavanjima, izvedenih pomoću posebnih trampolina i strunjača, izazvali pravo oduševljenje brojne publike. Drugoga dana u Vinkovcima je organiziran je i već tradicionalni Kids Day s brojnim sadržajima i događanjima namijenjenima djeci, a održana je i edukacija o 3×3 košarci za igrače, suce, pomoćne suce, djecu i gledatelje.
No, ono što je vinkovački turnir učinilo zbilja posebnim bila je svjetska premijera korištenja napredne i suvremene VR (virtual reality – virtualna stvarnost) na 3×3 košarkaškim terenima! Ona je demonstrirana uz pomoć posebnih VR naočala, a okupljeni gledatelji su na velikom videozidu mogli vidjeti kako izgledaju teren i igranje 3×3 košarke kroz njihovu vizuru, što je izazvalo veliki pljesak. Predviđeno je da ova atraktivna inovacija na idućim postajama PRO 3×3 Toura postane redovit dio programa, a moći će ju isprobati i publika.
Tijekom oba dana turnira ponovno je „dobri duh“ bio Josip Romić, nekadašnji zamjenik gradonačelnika, a odnedavno gradonačelnik Vinkovaca. Kao i prethodnih godina praktički je cijelo vrijeme, zajedno sa svojim suradnicima, bio nazočan turniru i opet doslovce bio „desna ruka“ organizatorima i sudionicima. „Zadovoljstvo mi je što su Vinkovci i ove godine imali čast biti domaćin ovog velikog sportskog događaja koji je ponovno okupio vrhunske košarkaške ekipe, brojne posjetitelje i zaljubljenike u ovaj atraktivni sport. Sam turnir je više od sportskog natjecanja, on je dokaz da su Vinkovci grad koji potiče zdrav život, bavljenje sportom i zajedništvo, u kojem se redovno nešto zanimljivo događa i gdje svatko može pronaći nešto za sebe. Zahvaljujem svima koji su sudjelovali u pripremi cijelog događaja, ekipama koje su sudjelovale i publici na fantastičnoj atmosferi. Vjerujem da smo ovim turnirom dodatno osnažili poziciju Vinkovaca na sportskoj karti Hrvatske. Nastavljamo ulagati u sport i ovakva sportska natjecanja koja doprinose razvoju zajednice i promociji grada. Hvala još jednom svima koji su bili dio ove sportske priče – vidimo se i iduće godine“, izjavio je gradonačelnik Josip Romić, koji je na kraju i uručio nagrade najboljima.

Idućeg vikenda, 27. i 28. lipnja, u okviru PRO 3×3 Tour 2025. driven by Opel slijedi pravi spektakl. Naime, prvi put će se jedan službeni 3×3 turnir održati na posebnom terenu postavljenom na jednoj od najljepših morskih plaža – Zlatnom ratu u Bolu na otoku Braču! Osim iznimno atraktivne i jedinstvene lokacije kao svojevrsnu dodatnu pozivnicu treba napomenuti da će na tom turniru snage odmjeriti najuspješnije ekipe s prva četiri ovosezonska PRO 3×3 turnira plus još nekoliko odabranih kvalitetnih ekipa. Ulog je velik jer ovaj turnir ima prestižan status FIBA Questa i pobjednika vodi na jak Masters turnir u Hong Kongu.

For the fourth year in a row, the oldest European city, Vinkovci, hosted a spectacular 3×3 basketball tournament, and for the first time, the city center itself was the venue: Vinkovci’s corso. In addition to the features that have traditionally adorned these 3×3 competitions in Vinkovci – a full program, a large audience, a great atmosphere and excellent performances by quality teams – the two-day event last weekend (Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21) also provided additional attractions and a world premiere of a technological innovation.
The largest city in Vukovar-Srijem County was the fifth stop of the fourth season of the PRO 3×3 Tour 2025. driven by Opel, a series of spectacular international 3×3 basketball tournaments that will take place from May 16 to August 3, 2025, in a total of 10 attractive locations, mostly in city centers, across Croatia. The first four tournaments of this season were organized in Hvar (May 16 and 17), Trogir (May 23 and 24), Umag (May 30 and 31) and Donji Miholjac (June 6 and 7), and the Vinkovci tournament marked the end of the first half of the current season.
Since the PRO 3×3 Tour has traditionally had a strong international character, as its competitions continuously bring together excellent 3×3 teams from several European countries, it should not be surprising that only the fifth tournament brought the first victory of this year by a Croatian team in the senior men’s Elite Men category. The 3×3 Zagreb Nitui team, played by Demian Balaško, Marko Malekinušić, Dean Popović and Zvonimir Stunja, celebrated their victory in the exciting final, played on Saturday evening (June 21), with a narrow score of 19:17 over the quality team Užice Zlatiborac from Serbia. It is worth noting that they outclassed all their opponents in the tournament, achieving a total of five wins in five matches, which proves that this title is well-deserved. In addition to FIBA points, Zagreb 3×3 Nitui also won a cash prize of 2,000 euros, while the second-placed team Užice Zlatiborac received a prize of 600 euros. Third place went to the KA-BA Križa Mont team. The three teams also secured participation in the grand final of the PRO 3×3 Tour 2025. driven by Opel, which will be organized on August 2 and 3, 2025 in Novalja on the island of Pag.
From the perspective of the host city, the competitive part in the junior U-19 category was particularly interesting because they had an excellent young team called 3×3 Vinkovci, which ultimately proved to be the best. Over the course of two days, the foursome consisting of Dino Ramljak, Kristian Senčić, Petar Vujeva and Ante Šabić defeated all their opponents in turn and concluded the tournament with a perfect score of 6:0. In an interesting final duel in the “Slavonian derby”, they defeated their big rivals from the 3×3 Osijek team with a score of 21:13 and earned ovations from the full stands.
In addition to the 3×3 competition itself, several other segments of the Vinkovci event should be highlighted. Numerous interesting prize games and competitions for spectators were also organized on both days. One of the highlights of both evenings (June 20 and 21) was a series of performances by the Slovenian acrobatic group Dunking Devils, who delighted the large audience with their tricks and acrobatic dunks, performed using special trampolines and mats. On the second day, the already traditional Kids Day was organized in Vinkovci with numerous activities and events intended for children, and education about 3×3 basketball was held for players, referees, assistant referees, children and spectators. However, what made the Vinkovci tournament truly special was the world premiere of the use of advanced and modern VR (virtual reality) on 3×3 basketball courts! It was demonstrated with the help of special VR glasses, and the gathered spectators could see on a large video wall what the court and the game of 3×3 basketball looked like through their vision, which caused great applause. It is planned that this attractive innovation will become a regular part of the program at the next stops of the PRO 3×3 Tour, and the audience will also be able to try it out.
During both days of the tournament, the “good spirit” was once again Josip Romić, former deputy mayor and recently mayor of Vinkovci. As in previous years, he was present at the tournament practically the entire time, together with his associates, and again helped a lot to organizers and participants. “I am pleased that Vinkovci had the honor of hosting this great sporting event again this year, which once again brought together top basketball teams, numerous visitors and enthusiasts of this attractive sport. The tournament itself is more than a sporting competition, it is proof that Vinkovci is a city that encourages a healthy lifestyle, sports and togetherness, where something interesting happens regularly and where everyone can find something for themselves. I would like to thank everyone who participated in the preparation of the entire event, the teams that participated and the audience for the fantastic atmosphere. I believe that with this tournament we have further strengthened the position of Vinkovci on the sports map of Croatia. We continue to invest in sports and such sports competitions that contribute to the development of the community and the promotion of the city. Next weekend, June 27th and 28th, a real spectacle awaits as part of the PRO 3×3 Tour 2025. driven by Opel. Namely, for the first time, an official 3×3 tournament will be held on a special field set up on one of the most beautiful beaches – Zlatni rat in Bol on the island of Brač! In addition to the extremely attractive and unique location, it should be noted that the tournament will feature the most successful teams from the first four PRO 3×3 tournaments of this season, plus a few other selected quality teams. The stakes are high because this tournament has the prestigious status of FIBA Quest and the winner takes the team to the strong Masters tournament in Hong Kong.
As for the PRO 3×3 Tour, it is a unique sports-tourism-entertainment-educational event that also has a competitive character. In addition to financial prizes for the best, all registered teams from Croatia and abroad collect points in order to try to secure a place in the grand finale of this Tour, which will be organized on August 2 and 3, 2025 in Novalja on the island of Pag. The final tournament of the PRO 3×3 Tour 2025 driven by Opel has the prestigious status of FIBA Lite Quest for the senior men’s Elite Men category, so its winner will travel to the FIBA 3×3 Challenger in Mataro (Spain) on September 27 and 28, 2025.
