Attractive PRO 3x3 Tour 2023 opened with a two-day tournament in front of a large audience in Hvar
The two-day spectacular tournament, held during the weekend of May 20 and 21, 2023, at the attractive location of Pjaca, i.e. Trg sv. Stjepana (St. Stephen’s Square), in the center of the town of Hvar, the second season of the PRO 3×3 Tour, a series of international 3×3 basketball tournaments (“3 on 3 players”), has opened.
In strong international senior competition, this year’s first PRO 3×3 Tour 2023 tournament was won by the Aluplastik Živinice team, which defeated the Sportko team in a tense final match with a score of 21:17. It should be pointed out that Aluplastik Živinice represents the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and players who are on the broader list of the national team of Croatia in 3×3 basketball perform for Sportko. In addition to FIBA points, the first-placed team received a cash prize of 2,000 euros, the second-placed team won 800 euros, and the third-placed Orca team received 400 euros. The members of winning team were: Zlatko Golijanin, Ado Korkutović, Meris Mazalović and Denis Meštrić. One of the novelties of this year’s Tour is the competition of junior U-19 teams in 3×3 basketball, and the winner of the first competition in the junior competition was the Mesari team.
“We are extremely honored that the first stop of this year’s PRO 3×3 Tour was the beautiful city of Hvar, and the popular Pjaca, the largest and one of the most beautiful squares in Dalmatia. Despite occasional rain warnings, Hvar eventually defended its title as the sunniest Croatian island, and the teams that took part in the tournament once again confirmed that 3×3 basketball is an extremely attractive, dynamic and interesting sport. As organizers, we are very pleased to see two national teams in the final, which will soon enter the qualifying battle for the European Championship in 3×3 basketball. This is an indicator that we have correctly assessed the need for this type of 3×3 platform for the purpose of developing a new Olympic sport in Croatia,” said Ivan Paić, president of the Organizational board of the PRO 3×3 Tour 2023. He added that 3×3 basketball proved to be an ideal sport for playing on top tourist destinations, as evidenced by the large number of foreign spectators at the field on both days of the tournament. Namely, the interesting competitions and many accompanying events were watched by a large audience, including tourists from Australia and the United States of America. Iva Belaj Šantić, director of the Tourist Board of the town of Hvar, is extremely satisfied with these information, as well as with the entire organization and implementation. “The Tourist Board of the City of Hvar decided to listen to the message and slogan of the organizer of the PRO 3×3 Tour, #budidioprice, and got involved in this beautiful story. It is not only sports – it also has a strong tourist, entertainment, and educational component. The tournament went well, and we believe that we will be part of the Tour next year as well, to the satisfaction of the residents of Hvar, as well as numerous visitors and tourists,” said Belaj Šantić.
During both days, Kids Day was organized in Hvar with contents and events intended for children, which received the response of many little ones. “The greatest pleasure was seeing a large number of children from the island of Hvar during our educational workshops on the basics and rules of 3×3 basketball, as well as in the game. The best of them had the unique opportunity to play in front of a wide international television audience in the first final match of the junior part of the PRO 3×3 Tour 2023. I would like to thank our hosts, the City of Hvar and the Tourist Board of the City of Hvar, for their great hospitality. I would also like to thank the company Sunčani Hvar d.d. as a local partner and sponsor. We are already looking forward to the new edition of the PRO 3×3 Tour in the town of Hvar next year”, concluded Ivan Paić on behalf of the organizers.
This year’s Tour will take place until August 12, 2023, in attractive locations in 10 cities across Croatia. The second station is again located on the seacoast, and the next tournament will be organized already on Friday and Saturday, May 26 and 27, in wonderful Trogir, again in an attractive location – on the Trogir riva besides the Kamerlengo tower.
The PRO 3×3 Tour is organized by the PRO 3×3 Association (Udruga PRO 3×3), with the support of the Croatian Tourist Board, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia and the Energy Basket d.o.o. company. Atraktivni PRO 3x3 Tour 2023. otvoren dvodnevnim
turnirom
pred brojnom publikom u Hvaru
Dvodnevnim spektakularnim turnirom, održanim tijekom vikenda 20. i 21. svibnja 2023. na atraktivnoj lokaciji Pjace, odnosno Trga sv. Stjepana, u središtu grada Hvara, otvorena je druga sezona PRO 3×3 Toura, serije međunarodnih turnira u košarci 3×3 („3 na 3 igrača“).
U jakoj međunarodnoj seniorskoj konkurenciji prvi ovogodišnji turnir PRO 3×3 Toura 2023. osvojila je ekipa Aluplastik Živinice, koja je u napetoj finalnoj utakmici svladala ekipu Sportko rezultatom 21:17. Valja istaknuti kako Aluplastik Živinice predstavlja nacionalnu reprezentaciju Bosne i Hercegovine, a za Sportko nastupaju igrači koji se nalaze na širem popisu nacionalne reprezentacije Hrvatske u 3×3 košarci. Osim FIBA bodova prvoplasiranoj momčadi pripala je i novčana nagrada od 2.000 eura, drugoplasirana ekipa dobila je iznos od 800 eura, a trećeplasirana momčad Orca 400 eura. Pobjednici su nastupili u sastavu: Zlatko Golijanin, Ado Korkutović, Meris Mazalović i Denis Meštrić. Jedan od noviteta ovogodišnjeg Toura su ogledi juniorskih U-19 ekipa u 3×3 košarci, a pobjednik prvog nadmetanja u juniorskoj konkurenciji bila je momčad Mesari.
“Izuzetna nam je čast što je prva postaja ovogodišnjeg PRO 3×3 Toura bio prelijepi grad Hvar, odnosno popularna hvarska Pjaca, najveći i jedan od najljepših trgova u Dalmaciji. Usprkos povremenim upozorenjima na kišu, Hvar je na kraju obranio titulu najsunčanijeg hrvatskog otoka, a ekipe koje su nastupile na turniru još su jednom potvrdile kako je 3×3 košarka iznimno atraktivan, dinamičan i zanimljiv sport. Kao organizatorima veliko nam je zadovoljstvo u finalu vidjeti dvije nacionalne reprezentacije koje će uskoro ući u kvalifikacijsku borbu za Europsko prvenstvo u 3×3 košarci. To je pokazatelj da smo pravilno procijenili potrebu za ovakvom vrstom 3×3 platforme u svrhu razvoja novog olimpijskog sporta u Hrvatskoj”, istaknuo je Ivan Paić, predsjednik Organizacijskog odbora PRO 3×3 Toura 2023. Dodao je kako se 3×3 košarka pokazala kao idealan sport za odigravanja na top turističkim destinacijama, što dokazuje i velik broj inozemnih gledatelja uz teren oba dana turnira. Naime, zanimljiva nadmetanja i mnoga popratna događanja pratila je brojna publika, među kojima su se našli i turisti čak i iz Australije i Sjedinjenih Američkih Država. Time, kao i cijelom organizacijom i realizacijom, iznimno je zadovoljna i Iva Belaj Šantić, direktorica Turističke zajednice grada Hvara. “Turistička zajednica grada Hvara odlučila je poslušati poruku i slogan organizatora PRO 3×3 Toura, #budidioprice, i uključila se u ovu lijepu priču. Ona nije samo sportska, već ima i snažnu turističku, zabavnu i edukativnu komponentu. Turnir je odlično prošao i vjerujemo kako ćemo i iduće godine biti dio Toura, na zadovoljstvo stanovnika Hvara, ali i brojnih posjetitelja i turista”, istaknula je Belaj Šantić.
Tijekom oba dana u Hvaru je organiziran Kids Day sa sadržajima i događanjima namijenjenima djeci koji je polučio odaziv mnogih mališana. “Najveće zadovoljstvo bilo je vidjeti velik broj djece s otoka Hvara tijekom naših edukativnih radionica o osnovama i pravilima 3×3 košarke, ali i u igri. Najbolji od njih imali su jedinstvenu prigodu zaigrati pred širokim međunarodnim televizijskim auditorijem prvu finalnu utakmicu juniorskoga dijela PRO 3×3 Toura 2023. Ovim putem želim zahvaliti našim domaćinima, Gradu Hvaru i Turističkoj zajednici grada Hvara, na sjajnom gostoprimstvu. Želim zahvaliti i tvrtki Sunčani Hvar d.d. kao lokalnom partneru i sponzoru. Već se sada veselimo novom izdanju PRO 3×3 Toura u gradu Hvaru iduće godine”, zaključio je Ivan Paić u ime organizatora.
Ovogodišnji će se Tour do 12. kolovoza 2023. održati na atraktivnim lokacijama 10 gradova diljem Hrvatske. Druga postaja ponovno se nalazi na morskoj obali, a idući turnir bit će organiziran već u petak i subotu, 26. i 27. svibnja, u divnom Trogiru, ponovno na atraktivnoj lokaciji – na trogirskoj rivi podno kule Kamerlengo.
