After Hvar, where during the previous weekend the first tournament of the second season of the PRO 3×3 Tour 2023 – a series of international tournaments in 3×3 basketball (“3 on 3 players”) – was organized; this new Olympic sport premiered on Friday and Saturday, May 26 and 27, in one more city in the Split-Dalmatia County – Trogir.
This year’s second two-day tournament of the PRO 3×3 Tour 2023 was again organized at an attractive location – a playground set up on the Trogir riva at the foot of the impressive Kamerlengo tower – and again, like the one in Hvar, gathered a strong international lineup of teams in the Senior Elite category. In contrast to the competition in Hvar, which went to the Aluplastik Živinica team from neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina, the strong Croatian teams Cro 1 and Cro 2 played the final of the Trogir tournament on Saturday, May 27, also playing as candidates for the national team in 3×3 basketball. With a score of 21:12, the Cro 1 team, consisting of Mario Rajčić, Stipe Krstanović, Stanko Kujundžić and Dean Popović, took the victory and a cash prize of 2,000 euros. The amount of 800 euros belonged to the Cro 2 team, and the third place and the amount of 400 euros in the senior competition was won by the team 3×3 Prnjavor from Bosnia and Herzegovina. It should be noted that the excellent Podgorica Kodio team, which consists of players who play for the national team of Montenegro, entered the semi-finals of this strong tournament.
One of the novelties of this year’s Tour are trials of junior U-19 teams in 3×3 basketball. The winner of the Trogir competition in the junior competition was the KK Švabo team defeating the KK Požarina team in the final. As in last season’s tournaments and in the first tournament of this season, Kids Day was held in Trogir with rich content and events intended for many children who gathered at the invitation of the organizers. Educational workshops were also organized for them on the basics and rules of 3×3 basketball, and the kids had the opportunity to try their skills on a real 3×3 playground.

Namely, it turned out that the area in front of the Kamerlengo tower is ideal for this kind of top sports spectacle, and the city of Trogir is an excellent host for the best 3×3 players from Croatia and the region. We are extremely satisfied with the cooperation with the Tourist Board of the city of Trogir, which recognized our idea from the beginning, decided to participate in #budidioprice and enabled us to play one of the strongest 3×3 tournaments in the region so far this year with many representatives of their countries, including candidates for the Croatian national team at upcoming qualifications for the European Championship. As the cherry on top, we received the news that the live broadcast from Trogir was one of the most watched shows of the day, which only proves how dynamic, attractive and interesting this new Olympic sport is when combined with the wonderful tourist locations of our beautiful country”, said Ivan Paić, the president of the Organizing Committee of the PRO 3×3 Tour 2023. And the Tourist Board of the city of Trogir considers it extremely important to combine sports and tourism in the function of building sustainable tourism. “Precisely with this goal in mind, this top event that we hosted is a true example of combining sports and tourism, promoting an active lifestyle, creating experiences in the destination with the inevitable promotion of valuable cultural sites, of which Trogir as a UNESCO protected city as a whole has many. Imagine the view from a height, from a plane approaching the airport vith a view of Trogir: on one side of the tower – the superb ambience of the PRO 3X3 Tour, and on the other – the musical and gastronomic bustle of the street food festival”, describes a satisfied Marin Piveta, director of the town’s Tourist Board Trogir.
This year’s Tour will take place until August 12, 2023 in top locations in 10 cities across Croatia. The third station is again located on the Adriatic coast, this time on its Istrian coast. The next tournament will be organized on Friday and Saturday, June 2 and 3, in Umag, again at an attractive location. “We are very much looking forward to the next stop in beautiful Umag and we invite all residents of Umag and their guests to come to Trg slobode in the center of the city in as many numbers as possible and enjoy the 3×3 crafts”, invited Ivan Paić on behalf of the organizers.
The PRO 3×3 Tour is organized by the PRO 3×3 Association (Udruga PRO 3×3), with the support of the Croatian Tourist Board, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia and the Energy Basket d.o.o. company. Nakon Hvara, gdje je vikend prije organiziran prvi turnir u okviru druge sezone PRO 3×3 Toura 2023., serije međunarodnih turnira u košarci 3×3 („3 na 3 igrača“); novi olimpijski sport premijerno je u petak i subotu, 26. i 27. svibnja, predstavljen u još jednom gradu na području Splitsko-dalmatinske županije – Trogiru.
Drugi ovogodišnji dvodnevni turnir PRO 3×3 Toura 2023. ponovno je organiziran na atraktivnoj lokaciji – igralištu postavljenom na trogirskoj rivi podno impresivne kule Kamerlengo – i ponovno je, kao i hvarski, okupio jak međunarodni sastav ekipa u Senior Elite kategoriji. Za razliku od hvarskog nadmetanja, koje je pripalo ekipi Aluplastik Živinice iz susjedne Bosne i Hercegovine, u finalu trogirskog turnira, odigranom u subotu, 27. svibnja, zaigrale su snažne hrvatske ekipe Cro 1 i Cro 2, za koje igraju kandidati za nacionalnu reprezentaciju u 3×3 košarci. Rezultatom 21:12 pobjedu i novčanu nagradu od 2.000 eura na kraju je zaslužila ekipa Cro 1 koja je nastupila u sastavu: Mario Rajčić, Stipe Krstanović, Stanko Kujundžić i Dean Popović. Momčadi Cro 2 pripao je iznos od 800 eura, a treće mjesto i iznos od 400 eura u seniorskoj konkurenciji osvojila je ekipa 3×3 Prnjavor iz Bosne i Hercegovine. Valja istaknuti kako je u polufinale ovog jakog turnira ušla i odlična ekipa Podgorica Kodio, koju čine igrači koji nastupaju za nacionalnu reprezentaciju Crne Gore.
Jedan od noviteta ovogodišnjeg Toura su ogledi juniorskih U-19 ekipa u 3×3 košarci. Pobjednik trogirskog nadmetanja u juniorskoj konkurenciji bila je momčad KK Švabo koja je u finalu svladala momčad KK Požarina. Kao i na prošlosezonskim turnirima te na prvom ovosezonskom turniru, i u Trogiru je održan Kids Day s bogatim sadržajima i događanjima namijenjenima brojnoj djeci koja su se okupila na poziv organizatora. Za njih su realizirane edukativne radionice o osnovama i pravilima 3×3 košarke, a mališani su imali prigodu okušati svoje umijeće na pravom 3×3 igralištu.
“U ovogodišnjem izdanju PRO 3×3 Toura 2023 kao drugu postaju odabrali smo grad Trogir i u potpunosti pogodili. Naime, pokazalo se da je prostor ispred kule Kamerlengo idealan za ovakvu vrstu vrhunskog sportskog spektakla, a grad Trogir odličan domaćin najboljim 3×3 igračima iz Hrvatske i regije. Iznimno smo zadovoljni suradnjom sa Turističkom zajednicom grada Trogira koja je od početka prepoznala našu ideju, odlučila se uključiti u #budidioprice i omogućila nam odigravanje do sada jednog od najjačih ovogodišnjih 3×3 turnira u regiji sa mnogim reprezentativcima svojih zemalja, uključujući i kandidate za reprezentaciju Hrvatske na predstojećim kvalifikacijama za Europsko prvenstvo. Kao šlag na tortu primili smo vijest da je izravni prijenos iz Trogira bio jedna od najgledanijih emisija dana, što samo dokazuje koliko je dinamičan, atraktivan i zanimljiv ovaj novi olimpijski sport kada se spoji s predivnim turističkim lokacijama Lijepe naše”, izjavio je Ivan Paić, predsjednik Organizacijskog odbora PRO 3×3 Toura 2023. I Turistička zajednica grada Trogira smatra iznimno važnim spajanje sporta i turizma u funkciji izgradnje održivog turizma. “Upravo u tom cilju, ova vrhunska manifestacija koju smo ugostili pravi je primjer spajanja sporta i turizma, promocije aktivnog života, stvaranja doživljaja u destinaciji uz nezaobilaznu promociju vrijednih kulturnih lokaliteta kojih Trogir kao u cjelini zaštićen UNESCO grad ima mnogo. Zamislite pogled iz visine, iz zrakoplova koji prilazi zračnoj luci i iz kojeg baca pogled na Trogir, s jedne strane kule vrhunski ambijent PRO 3X3 Toura, a s druge strane glazbeno-gastronomski šušur street food festivala”, opisuje zadovoljni Marin Piveta, direktor Turističke zajednice grada Trogira.
Ovogodišnji će se Tour do 12. kolovoza 2023. održati na top lokacijama 10 gradova diljem Hrvatske. Treća postaja ponovno se nalazi na jadranskoj obali, ovaj put na njezinom istarskom dijelu. Idući turnir bit će organiziran u petak i subotu, 2. i 3. lipnja, u lijepom Umagu, opet na atraktivnoj lokaciji. “Jako se veselimo idućoj postaji u predivnom Umagu i pozivamo sve stanovnike Umaga i njihove goste da u što većem broju dođu na Trg slobode u središtu grada i uživaju u 3×3 majstorijama”, pozvao je Ivan Paić u ime organizatora.
